Turku Region / Engineering Summer Trainee campaign

How can you combine a summer job with the best of the Finnish summer? By finding a summer job related to your Master’s-level engineering studies in the Turku region!

Companies in the Turku region are especially looking for engineering students in the final stages of their studies in fields such as electrical engineering, automation, energy
technology, mechanical engineering, production engineering, and maritime engineering.

Turku is known as Finland’s number one summer city for a reason. Events like Ruisrock, Down by the Laituri (DBTL) and the lively Aura River waterfront fill the city with people and
activities. For those who enjoy golf, sailing and other summer sports, there are plenty of options - you’ll never be bored here.

Engineering Summer Trainee Campaign 2026 - Concrete Benefits for Your Summer

If you have a summer employment contract with a technology company located in the Turku region, you can apply for the Engineering Summer Trainee Campaign 2026
(Kesäteekkarikampanja 2026).

The application period runs from 14 January to 31 March 2026 (or as long as benefits are available).

The City of Turku and Business Turku offer housing and mobility support for Master’s-level engineering students who take up summer jobs in technology companies in the Turku
region. The 90-day public transport pass for Turku also includes access to Fölläri city bikes and the water bus.

The benefits are available to a limited number of students upon submission of an employment contract and application, and are valid during June, July and August 2026.
The campaign is intended for students studying at universities outside the Turku region.

The company and the student conclude the summer employment contract according to normal practices.

How to Apply

1. Find a summer job that supports your Master’s-level engineering studies. Open positions can be found, for example, at:

2. Agree on the summer job and sign an employment contract with the company.
   
   
3. Create a profile on the Tippoint platform and apply for the Engineering Summer Trainee Campaign (Kesäteekkarikampanja) (Turku and Rauma have separate
   application processes).
   
   
4. Complete your profile carefully and attach your CV.
   
   
5. In the cover letter section of your application, include:
   • the company where you will be working
   • the company contact person(s)
   • whether your working period differs from the standard dates (1 June–31 August 2026)
6. You will be informed of your eligibility for the benefits as soon as possible after submitting your application.
